I grew up a nerdy jewish kid who wanted to make music, with one ear on hip-hop and the other on noise, or rock, or jazz, or whatever. I was also a kid looking for some kind of spiritual centre. I was that kid who blasted Tribe and read (or tried to read) the Tibetan Book of the Dead.
I think Adam Yauch was that kid, too…
